Forest Management in the Province of Valencia

Scope of action: Almansa reservoir, municipality of Almansa, province of Albacete.

A Management Project is a technical instrument of forest planning in which the management of a forest is defined and structured, the existing conditions and the actions to be carried out are specified:

Forest conditions: legal, natural, forestry, socio-economic status. In order to determine the forest condition and the amount of harvestable forest resources, it is necessary to carry out an exhaustive forest inventory, which is the main cost of forest management.

In particular, the forest inventory based on LiDAR data allows a significant reduction in inventory costs compared to traditional methods, with acceptable results, allowing the management of larger forest areas. These tools require the intervention of specialized technicians.
