The XIV Jornadas Españolas de Presas, organized by SPANCOLD with the collaboration of CIMNE and the support of the Confederación Hidrográfica del Guadalquivir and the City Council of Granada, will bring together the main leaders in hydraulic engineering at the Palacio de Congresos de Granada from May 11 to 14, 2026.
PYG and CPS will actively participate through:
- Lourdes Ortega, Director of PYG, is part of the Organizing Committee and will participate in the meetings of two SPANCOLD Technical Committees: Environment and Dams and Global Climate Change.
- Lorena Martinez, Project Manager at CPS, will act as Secretary of the Table in the session dedicated to hydraulic energy storage.
- Dayana Jiménez, PYG project engineer, will present the paper “The seasonal prediction of prolonged drought indicators in the Júcar river basin demarcation.”
This participation reflects the important role that PYG and SCP play in the spaces where the great challenges of water management are debated: the safety of dams and reservoirs, adaptation to climate change and the energy use of hydraulic infrastructures.
