PYG en UTE, will be in charge of the drafting of the basic project of Phase III of the hydraulic infrastructure of the General Community of Irrigators and Users of Callosa d’en Sarrià, as well as the joint environmental processing of the three phases of the project.
This project, promoted by the Department of Agriculture, Water, Livestock and Fisheries of the Generalitat Valenciana, aims to ensure water supply for 30 irrigation communities in the Marina Baixa region. A key area for Valencian agriculture, especially for the cultivation of loquat, of which Callosa d’en Sarrià is the largest producer nationwide.
The new infrastructure will be essential to optimize water management, ensuring sustainable irrigation and urban supply in an area of high environmental and productive value.
Phase III: A key project for water sustainability.
The main actions planned include:
- Continuation of the main pipelines up to their connection with the existing reservoirs.
- Rehabilitation of the drive system of Pozo de Sacos.
- Creation of new reservoirs and modernization of the localized irrigation network.
- Drafting of the Emergency Plan and the Operating Rules of the Massatava Reservoir.
- Complete environmental processing for all phases of the project.
